09:02 pm: New Ficlet...
Well, you might have noticed that I've mentioned Luke and Noah as a new interest in a few posts. Watching the clips on YouTube inspired this B/J ficlet, because I just couldn't help imagining that the QAF gang would find it funny that Luke and Noah have only kissed after being together for several !gasp! weeks.

Hope you all get a chuckle out of this.

07:24 am: New Ficlet/Vignette
We're expected to have a winter storm today, complete with 6+ inches of snow, followed by sleet and ice! So, I'm hoping, in addition to putting up our tree and decorations, to have lots of quality LJ/IJ time!

A long time ago, someone, and I believe it was [info]seanmegansean posted a plot bunny where Brian and Justin were getting older, and one of the examples she used was that one or the other got glasses. Hence this ficlet was born!

10:44 am: Random musings....
Hi all. I'm just a few days late to read the JK Rowling quote where she declares Dumbledore to be gay. I'm probably trying your patience, but I'm curious as to everyone's reaction to that news. more blathering )

10:36 pm: Hola f-list! I'm doing a little happy dance, as I was inspired to write after a long dry spell by catching up on the delightful series centering on teenage Gus/B/J written by [info]shadownyc, as well as the fantastic drabbles at [info]qaf_drabbles. (cross posted at LJ)

Another "wow-I-miss-you-all" post. I've just been insanely busy and not sleeping well. Anyone have any remedies for middle-of-the-night insomnia? I'm hoping to someday catch up with you all...

In happy news, we leave for our annual journey to Grand Cayman tonight. Please everyone think positive thoughts that the Weather Channel is absolutely cracked and we will not have rain constantly throughout our vacation. If anyone would like, I'll try to post some photos when I get back of us huddled in the rain.

02:22 pm: Dexter love
So, f-list, I'm been missing you like crazy lately, because my RL keeps intruding. I haven't even found the time to go to the store to get the latest Dexter book, so please share with me if you've read it and your opinion. Since Showtime brought us QAF and Dexter, I'll do a little advertising for them...

03:16 pm: Slice-of-Life B/J Vignette/Tribute to Madeliene L'Engle
You may be looking at the subject heading wondering if I've finally lost it for good, but I assure you the vignette isn't crack this time. I wrote this after buying and rereading A Wrinkle in Time by Madeliene L'Engle since I'm an unapologetic sci-fi dork. It still spoke to me as an adult and has weathered well since it was published in 1962. After the fic, I've posted a summary of the plot of WiT from Wikipedia which is never wrong, for those of you who haven't read it or wanted a refresher. (cross-posted at LJ)

09:22 pm: New Vignette
Hmmm. I don't know when a vignette ends and a ficlet begins, so let's call this a vignlet. This is a follow-up to my racquetball vignette, "The Perfect Opponent," (found at http://catcayman.livejournal.com/12049.html#cutid1) and a drabble that I posted over at [info]qaf_drabbles, which I will repost here for your reading pleasure. Another non-QAF post...however, I do believe that Roger Federer is perfection in his own way. I'm not a huge tennis fan anymore, not since Stefan Edberg, but I think it truly possible that Roger Federer is the best tennis player EVER, and we are getting to watch his brilliance. He won the US Open again today, which was his 12th Grand Slam victory. And he's rather hot too. ;)

08:35 pm: Musing on Books
I just saw an article on Yahoo that Madeleine L'Engle died. She wrote the most fantastic children's fantasy/sci-fi books, including A Wrinkle in Time, which I clearly remember as the first book obsession I ever had. She also started a deep and enduring love for these genres.

Do any of you have any favorite books from your late childhood/early teenage years?

Here's mine, for fun.

First book to make me bawl crying like a baby: Clan of the Cave Bear
First book that I thought was ridiculously clever: The Westing Game
Most overhyped book that I had to read for English: The Great Gatsby
Best Silly Fluffy Pleasure Reading book: The Vampire Diaries
Book that opened my eyes to the outside world: Island of the Blue Dolphins
ETA: Also, I just remember A Tree Grows in Brooklyn just ripped my heart out.

06:37 am: Bring Back the Porn Early
Hello, F-list! I'm going out of town for a few days, and I'll be missing tomorrow's Bring Back the Porn here on IJ. In honor of that fabulous even, (although as my friend [info]tweedygal says, "If you are in the QAF fandom, isn't every day Bring Back the Porn?")

Anyways, although I've been writing feverishly, including a follow-up with Tweedy about B/J sex on Ted's desk, that one isn't finished yet. So, here's a link to a previous story of mine that is probably one of my favorite things I've written. Come on, it's crack!fic and smut! As Tweak says, thanks to [info]happier_bunny and [info]not_yet_defined, "It fills the void."

The Naked Guy.

07:32 pm: Oh my dear f-list, sometimes the craziness just overtakes me and I write these vignettes/ficlets. I'm certainly hoping that it makes you smile, even if it's more of a grimace. (cross posted to my LJ--so you can grimace twice!)

Also, I am finding it seriously funny that the ad at the top of my page is for Ambien. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

07:26 pm: ?tracking a comment?
Tweak and I are having a show-down, and he is winning. Right not, his little quote says, "You deny my freshmaker?" I want to gouge out his little red eyes. *deep breath*

I cannot figure out how to track an entry here on IJ--I looked in the FAQ but to no avail.

This is sucking (NIAPLAW).

Could one of you please help the less able?

AWWWW, now Tweak is saying, "You are my sunshine." I love you QAF fans.

ETA:
THANK YOU, [info]not_yet_defined for informing me that tracking isn't working yet. *head/desk* Tweak is laughing, I swear. He says, "Yo mama."

08:32 pm: HELLO?
Happy Weekend fellow migrating LJ folks. I'm trying to figure out Semagic, which appears to be easy for almost everyone but me, lol. Let's try this again, shall we? Please feel free to friend me at IJ if you'd like.

I found this on Photobucket by midriffkitty, and I thought it hilarious! Hope it gives you a chuckle as well, if you haven't seen it before:

And now, onto happier fluffier things...Just in case anyone missed it and wanted to check it out here is my [info]qaf_challenges fic. Thank you very much to [info]alicesprings for running the show, the authors, icon makers, and everyone who commented previously.
